I arrived early on my destination at the island of Hailuoto (basically because I took me and my bike to a bus ;-) ) and therefore had the chance to explore the area a little. I spotted this place already from the window of the bus and immediately had the idea for some kind of panoramic image, so I drove back and waited for the sunlight to become less harsh.

I processed this image from three images in Photoshop and Lightroom and I'm rather satisfied with it. I kind of always came back to it in my library. Bigger it's better though.

This is a very evocative image - I can almost smell the resin of the pines. And very well done - the blue sky through the trees and the dark spaces below all perfectly exposed. I like the panoramic treatment too. But where is Hailuoto? The name sounds Finish - or Japanese! I would like to look on a map.
