St.Michael's Mount | Info + Comments (27)

As some of you might now I have been to Cornwall during the last week and being back now I try to keep up with my post-processing work. And now I'm proud to present the first image.

It was a difficult choice which image to post first and I went this one.

The whole trip to Cornwall has been quite an experience. Gorgeous landscapes all over the place. I felt like a kid in a toystore. Surprisingly the sheer amount of beautiful scenery didn't make it any easier though for me to decide to what and how shoot. I thought I prepared rather well, but being there I realized I should have been much more precise with that. Lesson learned and next time I will do better.

A more detailed review of my findings will go live on my blog at some point during this week for those interested.

I took this image on my last day in Cornwall. I was staying in a little apartment near St.Michael's Mount in Marazion and an image like this was on my "to-do" list once the conditions are right. Luckily on my last day things came together just fine.

Processing done as usual in Lightroom followed by some adjustments in Photoshop.

I hope you like it and thanks for visiting.

Update: I just realized that something happened with the file while uploading since it looks a little unsharp. I will investigate the issue.

Update 2: The issue got now resolved and the image now looks as it should.

You've managed to capture an overly photographed spot in a way that I've never quite seen before. Nice colours and great timing.

Great shot, what a location too. When you come home with shots like this, 28 hours of travel seems worth it!

Great looking picture. You don't see a photo layout with those levels of blues very often. Very nice image

Great shot! I didn't know the existence of St.Michael's Mount. It looks so much like the Mont Saint Michel in France

This is so beautiful. I did not know about this place. I too was strongly reminded of Mont Saint Michel, but I have done some googling and I am all straightened out now. :-)
