Rekvik Pier | Info + Comments (20)

I just came back from an amazingly wonderful 5 day trip to Norway. The first two days, the light wasn't always the best, at least not around sunset/sunrise, but at the remaining days it was just wonderful. Due to the midnight sun, there's was good light from basically around 10 to 4 o'clock in the morning. I haven't had really prepared the locations, and we simply looked at the map or at Google Maps to look for locations nearby.

This pier is shot at sunset in a little fisherplace called Rekvik, around 40km north of Tromsö. The sun setting to the right, lit the scene with it's warm last light of the evening, before slightly hiding below the horzion.

I took quite a few pictures during this trip, and now slowly have to work on the images. There will be coming a few more seascapes, mountains and some panoramas.

I hope you like it and thanks for visiting.

Hello everybody. I'm sorry for the insanely late reply. I planned to respond much earlier, but somehow it didn't work out.

I thank you all for your comments and I'm happy to hear that you like this one. It was indeed a wonderful moment there, and capturing it was like the icing on the cake. I have some more images from that location in the bag, but still need to do some processing to it.

Thanks again.

Cheers,
Sven
