A Splash Of Green | Info + Comments (10)

It feels like forever that I had a chance to go out shooting. It's a month now. Weather conditions and work schedule tend to collide, and if they don't, I forget to take essential stuff on my bookshelf. So I decided to post one from the archives...

I took this one at the exact same location like the last one, just six months earlier during summer. It's amazing how different things can look.

The sun was just setting to the right and lighted the whole beach in a warm light. The sun actually only hides behind the horizon in this time of year and I spent the whole night on the island exploring the place and also trying to get to the other side of it to catch the ferry home.

Processing-wise I have done my usual adjustments in Lightroom and some final color adjustments in Photoshop using LAB mode. I got a few questions on how I do this and I hope I will be able to get a post or a screencast up on my text-blog. I will give no ETA though. I know myself and things like this will take a while.

Talking about words.... For those who have not noticed this on my text-blog or on Twitter, I got interviewed by Brett from Blog on Photoblogs and if you are interested feel free to go over the article and check it out.

I hope you like this image and thanks for visiting.

Nice green, blue and magentas throughout. I also like Horizon curvatures in Landscapes, some correct in PS but think they add to a photo, not many things in Nature are straight!

Not much green around these days. I like your composition.

Love the way the stones seem to make a path in to the deep blue sea! Beautiful shot!

Like your capture, I love seeing little bits of color- like the green in the foreground.

Nicely composed and processed. A nice, almost spring-like shot for the dead of winter.
