Recently I ran into a little Photoshop/Lightroom annoyance which I wondered whether or not anyone of you ran into the same issue.
Like a lot of you, I have recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and I'm not sure if this problem is related to the update, or if I the problem existed already before, and I simply didn't notice. Also it might only be visible in black and white images, something I also haven't done to such extent before.
I noticed that the Lightroom preview of my B&W images have some sort of green cast to it, whereas the Photoshop version of the image doesn't. Since the from within Lightroom exported JPG doesn't have this green cast to it it's not that big deal.
I took a screenshot at 100% to demonstrate this.
Here's the Photoshop version:

Here's the Lightroom version:

As you can see, the Lightroom image has a clear green cast in the shadow areas, whereas the Photoshop image doesn't.
I searched the forums but couldn't seem to find a solution for this and I hoped anyone of you could confirm this behavior, had similar issues, or a solution at hand? Feel free to leave a note in the comments.
UPDATE: It only seems to affect the image in the Library Mode, in the Develop Mode it appears fine. (Thanks bnsonic)

MacBook Trackpad Gestures in Lightroom and Photoshop
Posted Tuesday, 9 December 2008 by Sven Seebeck
I got my new MacBook a few weeks ago, and being never really a fan of trackpads, this one is really great. Two finger scroll/pinch, three fingers swipes, four fingers Exposé. These gestures feel very natural already. After a few days of working on it, I get totally lost when being on a notebook without these features. I so love this machine.
One neat feature I ran into using Photoshop and Lightroom is, that the folks at Adobe integrated some of these features into their programs. By pinching and expanding it's possible to zoom in and out. Scroll through the images and so on. Amazing, almost like a built in tablet. Well, ok, not really ;-)
I tried to find some documentation on those, but somehow couldn't find some. So I thought I share what I found out:
General: Two Finger - Pinch Open: Zoom In
Two Finger - Close : Zoom Out
Library Modul:
Two Finger - Scroll (up/down &left/right): Scroll through library
Develop Modul:
Two Finger - Scroll (up/down): Adjust Brush Sizes (Adjustment Brush, Spot Removal Tool)
I'm not using the other modules too often, so I can't say anything about that at the moment.
Two Finger - Pinch Open: Zoom In
Two Finger - Pinch Close: Zoom Out
Two Finger- Scroll: Move screen (Rotate Tool)
Two Finger-Pinched (open) and circle movement: rotate view
That's what I found out so far. Once I find some more I will update this list. If you know some other ones, feel free to share it the comments.
Note: I ran into a few issues with this post which made me post it again. So if this pop-up twice (or more) in your reader, I'm sorry.
