Wuhuu! It's two years now!

It's now two years ago that I launched my blog here on Pixyblog. It has been an amazing time and interestingly it seems the time has just flown by.

Though being serious about photography since I started this blog, I have the feeling that I took my photography to a new level during the last (not necessarily in terms of quality, but in terms of the effort I put into it) by starting to travel to my favorite locations to shoot there. As a fan of dramatic and mystic locations, I traveled once to Cornwall and twice to Norway and now having plans to return to Norway (which is not so complicated as it is practically round the corner) next year and maybe also having a trip to Scotland in mind and with more to follow.

During these two years, I have re-designed the website multiple times. More often than I can remember. Which had the benefit of actually learning some CSS ;-)

As a little birthday-gift the latest installment of my re-design goes live today. It's not entirely done yet, but it's almost there. I will still have to do some minor cosmetic adjustment and re-organize the galleries a little. Also I will clean up a little the library.

The design features a new welcome page and a portfolio page (which as of this moment is not entirely filled with images) which of course features my personal favorites of my images.

Also you will find a little fun page here, where I have embedded images taken on the iPhone. This is more just for fun to keep me a little busy when I have no time to go out shooting, which seems unfortunately too often to be the case.

As I said, it's still not ready around here, and I hope I will get it done soon.

Those of you who regularly visit my site will have noticed that I have posted a lot of Black And White images during the past few months. In a recent (well not so recent anymore) article I wrote a little about that, but I can tell you, that this Black & White has a very deep fascination for me. I simply love the style, atmosphere and the elegance it adds to my pictures. Which is another exciting development during this year.

Additionally I will launch a Facebook-Page soon which I will invite you to follow soon in a different post. What exactly you can expect there, I don't know yet, but I'll try to figure out ;-)

It has been an exciting two years and I'm looking forward to an exciting future photographically and here on the blog.

In any way, I thank you all very much for being here with me and visit my blog from time to time and leave comments. I do appreciate that very much.

And now off to the next two years.....
