This post is part of a series, which might actually be more a reminder to myself, of things that I sometimes missed during a shooting.

  1. Flashlight: I recently did some unexpected night shot (image will be up soon) at a beach. There were no lights exept from the moon behind the clouds, and I couldn’t see very much. Also focusing was almost not possible, and a flash-light would have helped.
  2. Once I have been waiting something like four hours in the dark waiting for the sun to rise, because I arrived on location too late. I had only one podcast on my iPod, and that isn’t enough. I listened to that three times. Moral: Make sure it’s at least two ;-)
  3. Compass, to get an idea where the sun will rise. Some iPhone apps might help here (look for future posts)
  4. Food and drink. Even though this should be obvious, I myself have a hard time remembering that. I realized that on the same shooting as in #2.

Did you miss something once, or twice? Feel free to leave a note in the comments.
