As some of you might have read already in one of my previous posts, is that this site will receive a couple of updates in the near future to celebrate it's second anniversary in November.
As I'm nowhere near of being a programmer or web-designer, things and improvements take time and in my case, a lot of experimentation ;-) and today sees the launch of my first expermentation!
Today, here on this blog, goes live the first new addition to the site, with the implementation of Disqus comments. The discus commenting system enables me to reply to comments individually and presents them nicely in a threaded fashion with an avatar should one be available.
There are still a few minor quirks to work out, but for the time being this will do. I might change my mind about this later again and take it off. Who knows.
You can log into the comments as a guest or with your OpenID, Twitter and Disqus account. Once I figure out how to enable the Facebook log-in (a Facebook page is planned also, but you can already follow this blog on Facebook here), I will add that also.
Further more, it should be possible to have video comments also, but as of this moment I'm not yet sure if that's necessary.
Talking about discussion....
I have added the Tweetboard widget to the site also. You can follow my tweets and or/reply to them right here on the site.
I have planned some more minor additions to the site and as well a little re-design but that should be it for now. I might also add the Discus comments to my Photoblog once I solved those minor issues that I had here.
PS: As all this is new here, please let me know (in the comments of course ;-) ) if you encounter any unusual slowness or any other sluggish behavior. Thanks a lot!
